Ezra Brooks 99 Port Finish is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Lux Row Distillers, bottled at 49.5% ABV. It is the first release in the Special Cask Finish Series.
The mash bill is 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley. After its initial ageing, the bourbon spends six months in Portuguese port wine casks.
The nose combines vanilla, tobacco and leather with hints of cinnamon and raspberry. On the palate, sweet port fruit meets dark chocolate, baking spices and a touch of oak. The finish is medium in length and warmth, with Big Red gum, caramel, floral mint and lingering oak.
