Ezra Brooks 99 is a Kentucky straight bourbon made by Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown. It is bottled at 99 US proof, which equals 49.5% alcohol by volume.
The whiskey is matured in new charred American oak and made from a mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley. It is a sour mash bourbon, which means some of the residue left after distillation is added to the next batch. After distilling it is charcoal filtered.
The flavour is rounded, with caramel, vanilla, chocolate and spice.
