Old Ezra 7 Year Old Barrel Strength is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Lux Row Distillers, bottled at 58.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The brand is owned by the family-owned company Luxco.
The bourbon is made from a sour mash base, charcoal filtered after distillation and aged for seven years in new, charred white oak barrels. It was named in the Whisky Advocate Top 20 Whiskies of 2019.
The nose has caramel, vanilla and toasted oak, with dark chocolate and baking spices. The palate brings brown sugar, cinnamon and dried fruit, balanced by oak and leather. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice and subtle sweetness.
