Ezra Brooks 99 is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 49.5%, or 99 proof, in a 75cl bottle. It is distilled in copper stills at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown.
The mash bill has a high proportion of corn, with rye and malted barley. The bourbon is aged in new charred American oak barrels and charcoal filtered.
The nose is caramel and vanilla with charred oak, dried fruit and baking spice. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with caramelised sugar, toasted oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with spice, oak tannins and sweetness.
