Ezra Brooks Old Ezra is a 7 year old Kentucky straight rye whiskey, bottled at full proof, 57%, in a 75cl bottle.
It was distilled at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown and aged in new, charred American oak barrels. It is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose brings rye spice, toasted oak, vanilla bean, dried fruits and caramel, with black pepper and nutmeg. The palate is rich, with caramelised brown sugar, dark chocolate, cinnamon, clove, charred oak and dried cherries. The finish is long and warming, with oak tannins and sweet baking spices fading to dryness, with hints of tobacco and leather.
