Ezra Brooks Rye Whiskey is a straight rye from Kentucky, bottled at 45% (90 proof). The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% barley, and the spirit spends two years in new, toasted American white oak casks. It is filtered through charcoal, which gives a soft finish.
The nose combines vanilla, cedar, white pepper and earthy rye spice. Layers of white chocolate and fondant sit on the palate, with the rye character showing through. The finish brings apricot and banana chips with a touch of honey.
