Ezra Brooks Straight Rye is an American rye whiskey made by Lux Row Distillers, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill is at least 51% rye, with corn and malted barley, and the whiskey is aged in new charred American oak barrels before charcoal filtering.
The nose has black pepper, cinnamon and clove with light vanilla, caramel and dried fruit. The palate opens with bold rye spice, then oak, nutmeg, dark sugar, toffee and a touch of citrus zest. The finish is medium to long, warm and peppery, with a dry oak close.
