Fary Lochan Sæson 2 – The Smoking Gun (70cl, 48%)

The Smoking Gun is a Danish single malt from Fary Lochan, made in Give in central Jutland and part of the distillery's Season 2 series. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from Danish malt, distilled in copper pot stills and matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks. The bourbon casks bring honeyed sweetness and vanilla, and the sherry casks add dried fruit. A smoky character gives the whisky its name. The nose is honeyed, with gentle smoke, dried fruit and a faint floral note. The palate pairs soft sweetness with dry smoke, liquorice and a little salt. The finish is long, with smoke, sweetness and light spice.
