Fettercairn 16 Years is a Highland single malt matured in American white oak bourbon barrels and bottled at 46.4%. It is non-chill-filtered.
The nose leads with grilled pineapple and Madagascan vanilla, followed by sugared almonds, gentle baking spice, fresh coconut, white peach and white chocolate. The palate is creamy and full, with passion fruit, ripe mango, stewed pear and honey, then caramel, pistachio, a little ginger and cocoa. The finish is long, with warm citrus peel, honey and cocoa, and a hint of sandalwood and gingerbread.
