Fettercairn – Warehouse 2 Batch No.1 (70cl, 49.7%)

This is the first release in the Fettercairn Warehouse Collection. It was matured in the distillery's Warehouse 2 and bottled at 49.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was drawn from five types of cask: Port pipes, Vasyma sherry butts, Tevasa sherry barrels, unseasoned Vasyma barrels and ex-bourbon barrels. That mix brings plenty of complexity, yet it stays approachable. The nose offers grilled peaches, honeycomb and earthy coffee over a chocolatey sweetness. On the palate there are festive spices, buttery biscuits, greengage and pear. The long finish carries cinnamon and nutmeg with more honeyed sweetness.
