This is a single cask 100% rye whisky from Fielden, bottled by the independent bottler The Heart Cut at a cask strength of 56.6%. It was distilled on 7 June 2019 and bottled on 4 July 2023, with 1109 bottles filled.
The rye was matured in new American oak, then finished for just over two years in a 45-year-old ex-Solera Oloroso cask from a bodega in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. It is non-chill filtered and has no caramel colouring.
The nose is salted caramel, honeycomb and honeysuckle. The palate brings saline caramel, vanilla ice cream, apricot, pecan pie, banana chips and maple waffles. The finish has cola cubes, toasted walnuts, oak and smoked sea salt.
