This release marks ten years since the first casks were filled at Spirit of Yorkshire, the distillery behind Filey Bay. It is a vatting of ex-Madeira and ex-bourbon casks from the distillery's early years up to 2023, with most of the whisky coming from the Madeira casks. It also contains whisky from Cask 001, the first cask the distillery filled, on 14 June 2016.
It was bottled at 49.9% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without colouring, in an edition of 2016 bottles.
The nose is fruity, with sweet stone fruit, vanilla and honey. The palate is rich and creamy, with apricots and fruit sweets alongside a Madeira depth.
