Filey Bay 10th Anniversary Special Release is an English single malt from Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, made to mark ten years of production. It is a small-batch blend of whiskies from the distillery's first decade, including liquid from Cask 001, filled on 14th June 2016.
The blend is heavily influenced by Madeira casks and is bottled at 49.9% ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration. The release is limited to 2,016 bottles.
The nose is sweet and fruity, with hints of vanilla. On the palate come wine gums, patisserie cream, ripe peaches and sweet, biscuity malt, followed by a lingering fruity finish with gentle, warming spice.
