Filey Bay Flagship Marrying Strength (70cl, 50.1%)

This is Filey Bay Flagship single malt from Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, bottled at 50.1%, a strength the distillery calls marrying strength. It sits between cask strength and the 46% of the standard Flagship, and the whisky spends long periods at this level before the slow reduction to bottling strength. The spirit is distilled in Yorkshire from locally grown barley and aged in bourbon casks. It is natural in colour and non-chill filtered, and comes in a 70cl bottle. The flavour profile is described as honey, vanilla, citrus and caramel, with the characteristics of the classic Flagship heightened and enriched.
