Filey Bay German Exclusive 2023 is a small batch whisky from Yorkshire, bottled at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend finished in ex-bourbon, ex-Moscatel sherry and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, made for the German market and limited to 1002 bottles.
Whisky director Joe Clark blended it, then set the strength at 50.5%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose is soft and fruity, with demerara sugar, caramel, cream toffee, orange, vanilla and nutmeg. The palate is velvety, with caramel, orange zest, milk chocolate and candied ginger. The finish is long and warming, sweet and fruity, with white pepper.
