This is Batch 4 of the Filey Bay Moscatel Finish, from the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery in Hunmanby, England. The spirit was matured in first fill bourbon barrels and then finished in Moscatel hogsheads. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings candied orange, cocoa, crisp apple and fresh ginger. The palate shows dried banana, stewed pineapple, toasted oak spice and tropical sweetness. The finish is long and sweet, with mild pepper.
