Filey Bay Moscatel Sherry Cask English Whisky (70cl)

Filey Bay Moscatel Sherry Cask is an English whisky from the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery on the Yorkshire Coast, matured in ex-Moscatel sherry hogsheads. Moscatel is a rarer choice for whisky than Pedro Ximenez or Oloroso, and the grapes are known for floral aromas. It is made with 100% homegrown barley and a solera-style fractional blending method. At each bottling, the casks are topped up with older casks chosen from the warehouse, which keeps the flavour consistent while the whisky gains age. It is soft, sweet and fruity, with chocolate-dipped orange slices, toasted nuts, caramel, honey and apricot.
