This is the fourth annual release of Filey Bay Sherry Cask Reserve, a single malt from the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, in a 70cl bottle. Whisky Director Joe married three types of cask from the warehouse.
Ex-Moscatel casks bring floral notes, ex-Oloroso adds nutty complexity, and ex-PX sherry casks round it off with rich sweetness.
It is a rich, complex whisky with notes of black treacle, cranberry, cocoa and cola sweets.
