Filey Bay Special Release Porter Cask Batch 1 Single Malt (70cl, 50%)

Filey Bay Special Release Porter Cask is the first Porter Cask release from the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, an English single malt bottled at 50% ABV, the distillery's first bottling at that strength. It was made with Wold Top Brewery, whose Marmalade Porter was held in the casks. The ex-PX and ex-bourbon casks were first filled in spring and autumn 2017. After 14 months holding the porter, they were refilled with ex-bourbon matured whisky from 2018 and later married together. It is described as having orange chocolate, baked apples and roast malt, with the distillery's light, fruity house style still present.
