Filey Bay STR Finish (Batch 4) (70cl, 46%)

Filey Bay STR Finish is a Batch 4 whisky from the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery at Hunmanby, near the Filey Bay coast. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky first matured in ex-bourbon casks, which add creamy notes to the light, fruity spirit. It then received a second maturation in STR casks: former red wine barrels that have been shaved, toasted and re-charred to bring out red fruit flavours from the wood. The nose offers biscuit, juicy orange, melting chocolate and spicy cinnamon. The palate brings salted caramel, creamy dark chocolate, ripe forest fruits and oak. The finish is clear, sweet and fruity.
