Filey Bay STR Red Wine Cask (70cl)

Filey Bay STR Red Wine Cask is an English whisky from Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, made from 100% homegrown barley and presented in a 70cl bottle. It is aged in shaved, toasted and re-charred ex-red wine casks. A solera-style approach keeps the flavour consistent. Each time a batch is bottled, the casks holding the whisky are incrementally backfilled with casks selected from the warehouse, so the whisky continues to gain age, depth and complexity. It is soft and malty, with biscuit, marzipan, boiled sweets and red fruits.
