Five Nine is a high-rye Kentucky bourbon aged for a minimum of nine years, bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made at Owensboro Distilling Co. in Daviess County.
The mashbill is 70% Kentucky corn, 21% winter rye and 9% malted barley. It matures in new American oak barrels with a No. 4 char, the deepest standard level.
The nose is caramel and toasted oak with cherry, spiced toffee, dark chocolate and baking spice. The palate is round and sweet, with cornbread, vanilla, maple and French toast. The finish is rich and lingering, moving from maple to warm spice and toasted oak.
