Fortaleza Tequila Añejo Batch 80-A (70cl, 40%)

This is Fortaleza Añejo from batch 80-A, a very dark expression made entirely from agave and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The agave is cooked in traditional stone or brick ovens and crushed entirely by stone, then double distilled in copper stills. The nose brings caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and cooked agave, with possible hints of pineapple, peach, orange blossom, nutmeg and raisin. The palate is thick and oily, led by cooked agave alongside butterscotch, caramel, toffee, citrus and hazelnut.
