Fortaleza Tequila Blanco (70cl, 40%)

This is a blanco tequila from Fortaleza, made from 100% agave and bottled at 40% abv in a 70cl bottle. The agave comes from the Tequila Valley. It is stone-oven cooked and crushed by stone, then fermented in open-air wooden tanks and distilled twice in copper stills. The nose shows citrus and cooked agave, with buttery, earthy notes and a touch of black pepper. On the palate, vanilla, basil and lime sit alongside the agave, and the finish is long.
