Frey Ranch Estate Distilled Farm Strength Uncut Bourbon is a barrel-proof bourbon from a working farm distillery in Fallon, Nevada. It comes in a 750ml bottle at about 62.5% ABV, which varies by batch, and is bottled without dilution or chill filtration.
The corn, rye, wheat and malted barley in the mashbill are all grown, harvested and milled on the property. The spirit runs through both pot and column stills and rests in new charred American oak barrels.
The nose is typically described as caramelised brûlée and butter cake with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, over dried stone fruit and orange zest. The palate is sweet and bold, with maple syrup, chocolate-covered cherry and leather. The finish is long, with black cherry, gentle smoke and dried fruit.
