This is a Japanese whisky from the Fuji Gotemba Distillery, owned by Kirin, finished in red wine casks. It is the 2004 Red Wine Cask Finish. The distillery stands at the foot of Mount Fuji, which is what the name Fujisanroku, used for its whisky, means in English. Kirin is one of Japan's major makers of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, alongside Asahi, and takes part in the whisky market without being a whisky specialist.
