Galliano L'Autentico Liqueur (37.5cl, 42.3%)

Galliano L'Autentico is an Italian herbal liqueur, golden-yellow in colour and bottled at 42.3% in a 375ml bottle. It follows the original 1896 recipe created by Arturo Vaccari, with the recipe and strength restored and the name L'Autentico added to the label. Thirty herbs and spices, among them star anise, Mediterranean anise, juniper berry, musk yarrow, lavender, peppermint, cinnamon and vanilla, are extracted and blended, then left to age. It is made in Piemonte. Vanilla leads on the nose, with anise, citrus peel and quiet lavender and juniper. The palate is smooth and velvety, with vanilla sweetness giving way to anise, then citrus, juniper and cinnamon. The finish is long, with vanilla, peppermint, and a little ginger and black pepper warmth.
