George Dickel Barrel Select (75cl, 43%)

George Dickel Barrel Select is a Tennessee whisky from Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. in Tullahoma, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. It is made from a sour mash of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley. Each small batch is blended from a small number of hand-selected barrels, aged for at least nine years in single-story rickhouses. As with every Dickel whisky, the spirit is chilled and then filtered slowly through sugar maple charcoal. The distillery describes it as balanced, rich and silky, with hints of vanilla, spice and charcoal. Light oak and a subtle fruit note sit beneath the charcoal softness.
