George Dickel Rye (75cl, 45%)

George Dickel Rye is a straight rye whiskey at 45%, in a 750ml bottle. It is made from a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The spirit is then sent to Tennessee, where it is filtered through sugar-maple charcoal in the Lincoln County Process, a step normally associated with Tennessee whiskey. The nose combines fresh-cut grass, roasted nuts, herbal tea and floral citrus, with vanilla and sweet tobacco beneath. The palate is silky and medium-bodied, with raisin bread, cinnamon, cherry and toasty oak. The finish is medium, dry and savoury, with oak and baking spice.
