Belle Meade Bourbon Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish (75cl, 45.2%)

Belle Meade Bourbon Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish is a high rye bourbon from Nelson's Green Brier Distillery in Nashville, finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain. The mash bill is 64 percent corn, 30 percent rye and 6 percent malted barley, and the bourbon is roughly nine years old. It was distilled at MGP in Indiana, blended in small batches from selected barrels and finished in the Scotch style. It is bottled at 45.2% (90.4 proof), non-chill-filtered, and this is numbered batch 12.10. The nose has sweet dried fruit, caramel and floral notes over oak with a whisper of smoke. On the palate come dried stone fruit, raisin, allspice and brown sugar with rye spice. The finish is long, with toasted nuts, vanilla bread pudding and spiced cocoa.
