Doc Swinson's Blenders Cut Thirty-Six Twenty-One is a straight bourbon in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 57.5% ABV (115 proof). It is a blend of two MGP high-rye mash bills, one with 36% rye and one with 21% rye, each aged for a minimum of 5 years. The name comes from those two rye percentages.
The blend is run through a solera system of sherry and cognac barrels. This is Release 20-001.
The nose is tart cherry, honey, apricot and bright rye spice, with dried fruit from the solera. The palate leads with dark cherry and charred peach, followed by brown sugar, peanuts, toasted almond, charred oak and dark chocolate.
