Bulleit 95 Rye is a straight rye whiskey at 45% (90 proof), in a 750ml bottle. The 95 refers to its mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley.
It is distilled at MGP in Indiana to Bulleit's specifications and aged for at least four years in deeply charred new American oak. It is bottled by Bulleit Distilling Co.
The nose brings dried apricot, fresh mint, black pepper and vanilla oak. The palate opens with rye spice, then toasted oak, cinnamon, tobacco leaf and citrus zest. The finish is long and dry, with pepper, anise and herbal rye grain.
