George Dickel Single Barrel 15 Year Old is a Tennessee whiskey hand-bottled from individual barrels at cask strength, in a 750ml bottle. Strength varies from barrel to barrel, up to 52.3% ABV.
It comes from Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. in Tullahoma and is made from a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley. It was aged for at least 15 years in new charred American oak, and the distillate is chilled and passed through sugar-maple charcoal.
The nose is vanilla, toffee and treacle with rich leather. The palate has saddle oil and wood depth, lifted by delicate fruit and a lavender note, and the finish is long and dark.
