A Barolo DOCG from Giacomo Grimaldi, showing the typical character of Nebbiolo. The aroma moves between ripe red fruit, faded rose and light mineral and earthy nuances, with a lightly toasted spicy note.
The palate is clear and tense, with present but compact tannin that is still young and ready to soften with bottle age, while savouriness supports drinkability and persistence. It suits rich red meats, slow-cooked dishes and aged cheeses.
It can be enjoyed now but has a clear aptitude for ageing. Serve around 16-18 C.
