Ravera Barolo 2021 from Giacomo Grimaldi shows immediate elegance, with cherry and small red fruits, rose petal, an earthy note evolving into sweet spice and light balsamic hints. It opens gradually, with fine but well-defined tannins, lively acidity and a savoury lift.
The body is medium-full and the finish leaves fruity notes and light tobacco. It is a measured Barolo that suits a few years of bottle ageing, and benefits from brief decanting. Serve around 16-18°C.
