This single grain whisky comes from Girvan, a Lowlands distillery, and is from the 1989 vintage. Elixir Distillers bottled it for The Whisky Trail series at 56.1%, in a 70cl bottle.
Girvan was set up in 1963 by William Grant & Sons to give their blending operation its own grain distillery. From 1966 to 1976 the site also housed Ladyburn, an experimental malt distillery.
