This is a single grain whisky from Girvan, a Lowlands distillery, from the 1990 vintage. Thompson Bros bottled it at 48.7% in a 70cl bottle. Girvan was founded in 1963 by William Grant & Sons so that their blends would have a grain distillery of their own. An experimental malt distillery, Ladyburn, also operated on the grounds between 1966 and 1976.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
