Girvan – 2007 Port Cask Finish, Lord of the Lowlands (57.3%)

This single cask Girvan was distilled in 2007 at the Lowland distillery and bottled in 2018, after maturing for over 10 years. It spent its time first in an ex-bourbon barrel and was then finished in a first-fill ruby port wine cask. The strength is 57.3%. The notes describe balanced fruit with strawberry and a soft creaminess, then a sweetness of nougat and caramel with a touch of Valeska cherry, leading to a long finish.
