A Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC from Ballarin. It shows an intense ruby colour with aromas of ripe red fruit, blackberries and plum, plus a subtle spicy note. The palate is driven by bright acidity, balanced by full structure and soft tannins, with a juicy, savoury feel and fruity returns. It is suited to traditional dishes such as cured meats, meat sauces and semi-aged cheeses, and is best served around 16-18 °C.
