Giuseppe Quintarelli Recioto della Valpolicella Classico 2015 (37.5cl)

This is a sweet red Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOC from Giuseppe Quintarelli in Veneto, Italy, from the 2015 vintage, in a 37.5cl half bottle. Corvina is the grape. The fruit comes from selected parcels and is dried on wooden boxes or rush mats. Noble rot appears in November and develops mostly in January, and the grapes are pressed at the end of that month. After 20 days of maceration, fermentation starts with indigenous yeasts and lasts 45 days, leaving the wine sweet. It then ages for five to six years in Slavonian oak barrels.
