Glasgow 1770 Batch 01 2017/2025 8 Year Old 1st Fill Bourbon Casks Lightly Peated (70cl, 54%)

A lightly peated 8 year old single malt from Glasgow 1770, bottled on 8 October 2025 at 54%. Batch 01 marries three unpeated and three peated casks in equal shares, all double distilled and matured only in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. The youngest cask was filled on 28 September 2017, and the batch gave 1,400 bottles. The peated part uses Highland peat, with malt at 50 ppm, and adds soft, sweet smoke. The unpeated part brings rich vanilla, blossom honey, citrus, buttery shortbread and tropical notes. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose has light smoke, rich vanilla and floral honey. The palate is creamy vanilla, pineapple and shortbread, and the long, warming finish ends with sweet vanilla, gentle smoke and lightly drying oak.
