Glasgow 1770 Single Malt is the 2019 release from The Glasgow Distillery Company, a limited edition made from Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine. The name looks back to 1770, the year the original Glasgow Distillery Company was founded.
The whisky was matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and finished in virgin white oak. It is non-chill-filtered.
The nose has dried dark fruit with tropical notes, then biscuit, oak and freshly cut grass. The palate is sweet and buttery, with crème brûlée, pear, dried figs and honey. The finish is long, with orange marmalade and nutmeg.
