Glasgow 1770 The Original Cask Strength Batch 01 (70cl, 61.3%)

The Original Cask Strength from Glasgow 1770 is a Lowland single malt, double distilled from unpeated malted barley. It matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and was finished in heavily charred virgin American white oak from Kelvin Cooperage. This is Batch 01, a marriage of three hand-picked casks of The Original, bottled at 61.3% and limited to 750 bottles. At cask strength, the fruity character of the unpeated, double distilled style comes through strongly, with Seville orange marmalade, dried apricot, toffee apple, poached pear and toasted pineapple.
