This is Glasgow European City of Culture 1990 Premium Reserve, a limited edition blended Scotch whisky bottled by Douglas Laing at 40% in a 75cl porcelain decanter. The decanter carries Glasgow landmarks in gold print, and the release commemorates the city's year as European City of Culture.
The nose is sweet toffee with a muted orange note and a touch of wood smoke. Smoked toffee and black pepper lead the palate, with chocolate and wholemeal underneath. The finish is long and sweet, with smoky and fruity notes.
