Glen Carrick 10 Year Old is a Lowland single malt bottled by Claxton's at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This ten-year-old was finished in sherry casks and in casks that previously held Islay whisky. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The sherry casks add a fruity, spicy influence, which meets the restrained smoke from the Islay casks.
On the nose there is stewed apple, marzipan, orange and sherry, with a trace of carob. The palate pairs sweet oak and vanilla with clove and light peat smoke. The finish is long, with nutmeg, cinnamon and oak, mild smoke and lingering spice.
