Glen Elgin – 10 Year Old 2013 Connection The Single Cask

This is a 10 year old Glen Elgin, a Speyside single malt bottled by The Single Cask for its Family Cask Connection series. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023, with 135 numbered bottles drawn from a single cask. The whisky matured in a first fill Catoctin Creek rye quarter cask, a smaller format that increases contact with the wood. It is bottled without chill-filtration or added colour. The rye cask adds spice to Glen Elgin's fruity spirit, and the whisky is described as rich in vanilla, peppery spice, toasted oak, caramel sweetness and orchard fruits.
