An independent bottling of Glen Elgin from Cadenhead's Original Collection, aged 12 years and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
After its main maturation, the whisky spent a further two years finishing in Palo Cortado sherry casks.
The nose is complex, with maple syrup, pears poached in red wine, sweet fruit, flowers, nuts and pomegranate. On the palate come ripe fruit, sweetness, ginger, malt and honey, with spice and nuts behind them. The finish pairs sweet and sour notes with a touch of wood.
