A Speyside single malt from Glen Elgin, aged 18 years and bottled at a cask strength of 54.8% in a 70cl bottle. The outturn is 5352 bottles.
It is a vatting of two batches made with different yeasts. One was made with Pombe yeast and matured in ex-bodega casks, the other with beer yeast and matured in refill oak casks.
The nose is vanilla, sweet caramel, fresh fruit and sweet pastry. The palate is very soft, with sweet honey, spicy oak, cinnamon, fruit salad and roasted nuts. The finish is medium in length, spicy and sweet.
