Glen Elgin – 2009 16 Year Old Refill Puncheon Cadenhead's Authentic Collection (70cl)

Glen Elgin 2009 is a 16 year old single cask Speyside malt from Cadenhead's Authentic Collection, in a 70cl bottle. Glen Elgin has long been prized by blenders for the honeyed depth it gives classic Scotch blends, and here its character is bottled on its own. The whisky matured in a refill puncheon, which keeps the oak influence restrained, and was bottled at natural strength. The notes point to layers of orchard fruit, malt sweetness and gentle spice.
