This is a Glen Grant distilled in 1964 and bottled in 1989 by the Italian company Moon Import for its The Animals series. It was bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle, and this is bottle 226 of 600.
The nose is rich in sultanas and sweet wine, with cream sherry and a hint of savoury brown sauce. The palate is dry and strongly oloroso in character, with Smyrna raisins, bitter chocolate and coffee. The finish is long, adding orange notes and roasted pine kernels and cashews.
